Tis the season

Oh how I love the Holidays! Everything from the music, decorations, food, traditions, gatherings, and the magic of the season. We always start off the excitement by getting our Christmas tree. It's been a tradition in both of our families to cut down our own tree. This means everyone gets out of the car and takes a vote on what tree is the perfect one. So far we haven't been let down, another glorious 10' tree stands proud in my living room.

It didn't take long, as the vote was in, we found this beauty....
The best part is, it snowed just enough the night before, it actually looked like December.

Gavin brought along his very own chain saw, and couldn't wait to get in on the action.

Gobble Gobble

We're thankful for so many things this Holiday season. Most importantly thankful for a healthy family, and to have such great friends and family in our lives.
We started our Thanksgiving day out with the Turkey Trot, a 5k walk/run. Scott of course ran, me and all three kids bundled up and hit the streets of downtown. It was a brisk 26* degree morning, but we were ready! Gavin was especially excited, as this was his first official "race". Oh how he loves to run, just like his daddy.
The kids surprised me to say the least. They ran the entire first mile, despite the crowds, dogs, and few shoe losses, they had a blast....
Everyone stopped to take this little man's picture, they couldn't believe he kept running, and that he looked like a little linebacker!

Needless to say I think we truly did "earn the bird".

Lazy November weekend

Nothing better than spending a warm fall day spinning around with a twirly skirt. This my friends is the latest sewing project! This girl fell in love with it, and would not take it off all weekend. She spun, spun, and spun some more, all while singing of course..... Aww to be five again?!?

Look what I caught....

A SMILE from my happy little guy!

And some drool of course.

I think he likes my new lens, and that makes mama SO happy.

An afternoon at Grandmas

Nothing better than a lazy day to play in the leaves! One of my favorite childhood pastimes, was spending countless hours outside in the leaves, letting my imagination run wild! So fun to see my kids let their imaginations go, and create memories.....

It's over!

All the hoopla of making the perfect Halloween costumes, running around the world to make Halloween visits to special people, eating my weight in miniature chocolate bars, and now dealing with the kids sugar hangovers. This pretty much sums up how I feel today....So glad this holiday is over!
