City kids go country...

Last weekend, Auntie Bridget and I took the kids to the Rodeo! The kids got their cowboy duds on, and we spent a beautiful summer night watching the cowboys do there thing.

She enjoyed her slow and steady pony ride He probably would've enjoyed a rougher, faster ride...We sat on the lawn with our boots and watched in suspense, as those cowboys were bucked off

these bulls!Ride em' Cowboys is now the only thing Gavin has been saying. Oh and let's not forget that his bike is his "bull" and he often gets "bucked" off that bull. What a fun night at the Rodeo!

I'd rather be Fishin'

Well sorta! Since I don't touch night crawlers, or leeches, and stay far away from anything that does come out of the water, fishin' isn't really my thing. But after a summer day at my house, fishin' doesn't seem so bad.When your fishin', your in a different time zone. One that is cool, calm, and collected. Schedules are thrown out the door, it doesn't matter if the grill doesn't get started until eight, and the kids don't hit the pillow until after ten. There is no whining for something to do, just laughs of pure enjoyment! Sitting on the boat day dreaming while I wait for the bobber to disappear, is where I'd like to be... Now back to reality as I quickly round them up and head out to tball. What's for dinner anyway?

Even though FuNneSs isn't a word, it sure would describe our Holiday weekend! It was filled with family from both near and far, crazy games, campfires, boat rides, fireworks, HOT weather, and good company.
